Every Sunday morning, the centre of Palafrugell turns into one of the liveliest markets on the Costa Brava. Along Carrer Pi i Margall, the stalls overflow with seasonal fruit and vegetables, cured meats, cheeses, dried fruits and spices, as well as clothing and household goods.
On weekdays, the covered market (Tuesday to Sunday, mornings) takes over with its fish and meat halls — the perfect place to cook the produce of the nearby sea.
Good to know: 15 min by car (9 km). The Sunday market is in full swing from around 8 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.; come early for parking and the best produce.
