The advantage of settling in at La Fosca is that you can range across the region without ever repacking your bags. Here is the one-week itinerary we recommend to our travellers — to adapt according to the weather and your mood.
Day by day
- Day 1 — Settling in. La Fosca beach, first swim, fish dinner at the port (our addresses).
- Day 2 — Coves. A tour of the coast’s beaches and coves, mask and snorkel.
- Day 3 — Walking. The Camí de Ronda to Castell beach and its Iberian settlement.
- Day 4 — Dalí. Figueres and Púbol, or Cadaqués and Portlligat (see our Dalí guide).
- Day 5 — Heritage. The medieval villages of the Empordà and a local-produce lunch.
- Day 6 — Palamós. The port, the old town and the fish auction, then the beach.
- Day 7 — Unwinding. One last cove, one last swim, and already the wish to come back.
Our hosts’ tips
- Keep the driving days (Dalí, Cadaqués) for windy or very hot days.
- Alternate an active day and a beach day: that’s the right rhythm.
- Book the time-slot visits (Portlligat) in advance.
