The Tren Petit greenway

Between 1887 and 1956, a little train linked Palamós to Palafrugell. Its old track has become the Via Verda del Tren Petit: 6 km of flat, car-free cycling winding through the countryside alongside the Aubí river, beneath a canopy of trees.
From the nearby pine forest, hop on a bike and ride with the family to Palafrugell; branch tracks lead down to the beaches of Castell and La Fosca. Flat, easy, and ideal with children.
Good to know: bike hire is available on site; bring plenty of water. The route connects to the wider Vies Verdes network of Girona for more adventurous cyclists.
