Ville d'art
Girona
45 min en voiture · 50 km
Girona is best explored on foot: the famous colourful houses lining the Onyar, the cathedral with one of the widest Gothic naves in the world, and the ramparts offering sweeping views over the entire old town.
The Call, one of the best-preserved Jewish quarters in Europe, its Arab baths, and its ancient lanes also served as a backdrop for Game of Thrones. On the food front, the city is a gastronomic capital — the acclaimed Celler de Can Roca is nearby.
Good to know: allow a full day. In spring, the Temps de Flors festival fills the city with flowers. Easily reached by car or train.
