Cala del Crit & the wild coves
At the very end of the wild path that sets off from La Fosca, beyond Castell and Cala Estreta, lie the bay’s most secret coves: Cala del Crit, Roca Bona, Cap de Planes. Little inlets of pale sand set into the rock, lapped by turquoise water and backed by the pine woods.
They can only be reached on foot along the Camí de Ronda (the road is closed to cars in summer) — which is exactly what keeps them pristine and deserted, even at the height of August. An old fisherman’s hut, the song of the cicadas, and the sea all to yourself.
Good to know: from the apartments, ~3 km by car to the Castell car park, then a 30- to 60-minute walk depending on the cove. No facilities: bring water, proper shoes and a hat. Spring and September are magical (warm water, no one around).
