Cadaqués and the Cap de Creus: the day trip
The white village dear to Dalí and the Catalan end of the world, in the north of the Costa Brava.
In the north of the Costa Brava, Cadaqués and the Cap de Creus make up one of the most beautiful excursions in the region. Reckon on about 1h15 to 1h30 of driving from La Fosca — a full day, but unforgettable.
Cadaqués, the white village
Whitewashed houses, pebbled lanes, colourful boats: Cadaqués won over the artists, Dalí first among them. Right next door, in Portlligat, his house-museum can be visited by reservation.
The Cap de Creus, the end of the world
Beyond the village, the winding road leads to the Cap de Creus, the easternmost point of mainland Spain. It’s a natural park of rocks tortured by the tramontana, with a lighthouse, wild coves and spectacular trails.
